This booking purchase is NON-REFUNDABLE and will be applied towards the total cost of your costume.
Design/Consultation Fee: This fee is not a deposit, it is the purchase of our time and skill in designing the perfect costume for your needs and will include an uploaded professional digital design sketch, a design consult, a scheduling fee, a patterning fee, and a materials fee. The fee is $150 which will be applied to your total costume price, meaning if your costume is $400 you will pay this Design / Consult Fee and only owe $250 plus shipping. This fee is completely non-refundable due to the time and expertise we will put into the consultation, patterning, and digital design.
Final Balance Fee: This is the fee for purchasing your completed custom-made costume! The fee will be the total price of the costume minus the design/consultation fee. The Final Balance Fee must be paid two weeks prior to your costume date. If your payment is late we will do our very best to work with you, but this may result in a delayed or rescheduled order. If your Final Balance Fee is over two weeks late, you will be asked to pay an additional $50 rescheduling fee.
There will not be "sneak peeks" available until your costume is finished, on the dress form, and fully rhinestoned. If you would like to see the base before the embellishing stage you must let us know at the time of booking so we can invoice you ahead of time, though please consider that the very best designs come from trusting your designer!
Designs: West Side Costumes uses our design expertise and discretion on ALL costumes. This means that all costumes will be embellished with your inspiration and requests, and our own style in mind! West Side Costumes cannot be asked to re-create or "copy" any designer's work. However, if you have an inspiration photo please allow us to create a unique and beautiful inspired look for you! Because we work hard to make every single design unique we cannot be asked to duplicate any costume we have made to the exact detail.
Time Frames: Your scheduled date is our best estimate of when we will finish embellishing your costume, the next day you can expect to see photos of your completed costume. If the Final Balance payment is late you may have a delay of up to two weeks, otherwise, we work hard to have the completed order finished within a week of your date! However, some unavoidable delays may occur with our materials, seamstress, and crystals or an illness may put us up to a week off schedule during the holiday season. This is not likely, but we want you to be aware of this and promise to be transparent if a delay occurs. We have never had a dancer go to the stage without her costume!
Shipping: You will be asked to provide your shipping address at the time of your booking (Design/Consultation) so that we may have it on file. Shipping is $15 for Priority USPS including insurance. Express Shipping is $39 for USPS Express Service including insurance.
Returns/Refunds: Due to the custom-made nature of these items and how they are worn there will be NO Returns. We would be happy to adjust or remake your costume with updated measurements if there is a fit issue. There may be an additional fee unless the issue is our error!
Both the Design/Consultation Fee and the Final Balance Fee are non-refundable. If there are any concerns at all please reach out to us, we will work hard to make it right!
Canceled Orders: If you wish to cancel your order with West Side Costumes you must do so before paying your Final Balance. The initial booking fee will not be refunded.
If you are unable to cancel before you pay that fee you will be provided with several options, none of which will include a refund or partial refund. Options may include the following; we can assist you in reselling your costume to cover your costs, or we may offer to create a different product for you such as convention wear or studio wear, or you can sell your spot to another dancer in your studio.
Your Design/Consultation Fee will not be returned as you have already received those services and digital design. If you attempt to cancel your order before your consult is completed you will forfeit the fee.
*Any rude or threatening messages will not be tolerated. We treat you with care and respect and ask for the same in return!
If a dispute or claim is filed, this policy will be provided to Venmo, PayPal, or your credit card company along with your signature agreeing to this policy.
